Hand sanitizer is a kind of skin care detergent used to clean hands. It can remove dirt and attached bacteria on hands through mechanical friction and surfactant, water flow or no water.

Product efficacy

Clean hand stains, remove bacteria and bacteria, moisturize and moisturize hand skin.

Hand sanitizers mainly include the following:

1. Hand sanitizer with anti/bacteriostatic effect

Studies have proved that most diseases enter from the "hand", and many pathogens enter through the mouth by hand, or through the contact of hands with nose, eyes and other parts. Hand washing has become an effective way to prevent diseases.

This kind of product mainly uses trichlorohydroxydiphenyl ether (DP300), 4-chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol (PCMX), trichloroisodiphenyl urea (TCC) and o-phenylphenol (OPP) as anti/bacteriostatic components.

2. Children's hand sanitizer

For children's hand sanitizer, non-toxic, non irritating and low irritating materials must be selected, and the amount of pigment and essence should be minimized. Some green surfactants, such as alkyl glycosides, amino acid surfactants, are often used in children's hand sanitizer.

3. Industrial hand sanitizer

Workers engaged in machine repair, oil extraction, printing ink, printing, chemical industry, food processing and other industries often have heavy oil stains on their hands. Hand sanitizers that need heavy oil stains should be safe, have strong washing ability, and have little stimulation.

4. Water free hand sanitizer

Water free hand cleaning liquid is mainly used in places without water source and water conservation, and is used for sterilization and hand cleaning. It does not need water to keep hands clean and sanitary.

5. Hospital hand sanitizer

There are mainly two kinds of hand sanitizers commonly used in hospitals. One is hand sanitizers with anti/bacteriostatic effects, and the other is hand sanitizers used under specific conditions such as pre operation and blood drawing. Anionic surfactants are basically not added to these products.

usage method:

Use of hand sanitizer

First, fully wet your hands with clean water, take an appropriate amount of hand sanitizer in the palm of your hands and fully rub them for at least 30 seconds. During this process, pay attention to rubbing to the fingertips and finger joints, and let foam cover all parts of your hands. After rubbing, rinse them with running water. Finally, pay attention to use clean dry towels or paper towels to dry, and it is better not to dry, because the rapid evaporation of surface water will lead to partial dehydration of the skin, resulting in dry and rough skin.

Main components:

(1) Surfactant

Surfactant is one of the main raw materials of hand sanitizer. Its main function is to remove oil and dirt on hands, and it is required to be non irritating and low irritating to the skin. It can be naturally degraded in the environment, and the degraded products are harmless to the environment.

Anionic surfactants and a small amount of non-ionic and zwitterionic surfactants are mainly used. Anionic surfactants include sodium dodecyl sulfate, fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether sulfate, lauroyl sarcosine, etc.

Nonionic surfactants are seldom used in hand sanitizers, and a small amount of them can enhance the decontamination effect and improve the stability of foam, such as coconut oil diethanolamide, in which the addition of alkyl glycosides can reduce the skin irritation of surfactants. A small amount of zwitterions, such as betaine and dodecyl dimethyl amine oxide, is beneficial to foaming and the durability of foam.

(2) Moisturizing and moisturizing agent

Moisturizing and moisturizing agents can leave a protective film after the moisture on the skin surface volatilizes, prevent or slow down the loss of moisture in the skin, and maintain the wettability of the skin, such as water-soluble lanolin, glycerin, etc.

(3) Thickener

Thickener refers to viscosity regulator, and viscosity reflects the comprehensive index of hand sanitizer system. The proper viscosity of hand sanitizer can not only improve the appearance of the product, but also make the product stable.

(4) PH regulator

The pH value of the hand sanitizer should be weak acid, close to the pH value of human skin (5.5-6.5), so as to avoid skin irritation.

(5) Other

Pigment, essence, pearlescent, natural active ingredients, etc.
